ABOUT
I am an Assistant Professor in Finance at the East Carolina University College of Business (Go Pirates!). My research centers around the relationship between Main Street investors and the larger financial system, which has been published in various journals including the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Journal of Banking & Finance. I have taught and assisted in the instruction of various undergraduate and graduate-level finance courses in financial statements, investments, and financial management. I earned my Ph.D. in 2023 from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (Go VOLS!) after private-sector stints in both management and financial planning. Before that, I earned by Bachelor of Business Administration in both economics and finance from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA (Go Eagles!).
